On build 2002032903/WinXP, the URL bar works incorrectly. With some URLs, it works sometimes, but with others, the URL will not submit with the enter key until some number of other characters are entered into the URL (and so of course you end up with the wrong address. Each time the URL is revisited, it seems to increment to some extent the number of characters that are needed to submit the URL.

I do not see this on linux or either mac build this morning. Just windows.

I think this is related to the Quicklaunch code on Windows. Please see my 2-week old "unconfirmed" bug 130915. Also see today's bug 134185 and bug 134246 .
I think this was fixed by the packaging changes that I checked in. People who see this in their own depend builds should see http://tinderbox.mozilla.org/showbuilds.cgi?tree=SeaMonkey#depend20020329
I'm pretty sure this was the same issue -- I saw the QI errors while typing in the URL bar. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 134195 ***

verified with commercial trunk builds: windows 2002-04-01-06-trunk linux 2002-04-01-06-trunk the fix for dupe fixed this too
