IMHO, it would be much better if instead of having many separated "Downloading
File" windows which are open during a download of multiple files, there was a
single unified window showing download progress for all on-going downloads. This
"unified download window" should show the source location, ETA and such for each
individual file that's being downloaded.

It would also be very nice if it was possible to click on an item in this list
and choose to pause/resume/stop some specific download. It should also be
possible to bring this window up using a simple key shortcut. Galeon and Opera
both have something similar to this "unified download window", but they're far
from perfect.

Have you tried Tool -> Download Manager?

AFAIK, it's still impossible to completely hide the many download windows that
get opened, even though the Download Manager "is there". There is also no way to
pause/resume the downloads from within the Download Manager.

I really miss the feature for hiding all download windows, and instead use the
download manager only!

If this has already been filed, please assist me in finding that bug, coz I
haven't been able to locate it :/
