Steps to reproduce:
Dear Thunderbird Developers,
When I click into a newsgroup, if I will get a note on the bottom that says the folder is compacting, the list of messages on the upper right will be blank. I have to wait for the compacting to end, click on another group, then go back to the original, then the list of messages will be there. It is time consuming and annoying. Please fix!
