Huawei Nexus 6P (Android 8.0)
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (Android 5.0.1)

Build: Nightly 58.0a1 (2017-10-5);

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install the aliexpress.com web app.
2. Tap the Categories button, select a category.
3. Tap the back button from the categories list menu.

Expected result:
The list goes back one level.

Actual result:
A blank custom tab is opened. See screenshot.

note: The back button doesn't work in the browser either, there's https://github.com/webcompat/web-bugs/issues/8478 & Bug 218415 for that.

If that's also a problem for full browser, I don't think it should be a 58 MVP. See below :

If that's same for the browser then P2 should be enough for now per the discussion with Andreas, and not necessarily a 58 blocker.

I don't think this is a major issue since it does look like an edge case for this site. The difference between the web app and browser, however, is that the button doesn't do anything in the browser (no blank links opened).

Bug 1411521 looks like another site with similar problem (new tab with javascript:void(0) URL after clicking button), except there it doesn't break everything.

With patch from attachment #8931056 [details] [diff] [review] (bug 1411521) blank tab is no longer opened, but the button still does not work as noticed in comment #0:
