The favicon used to be there, now it is a Nightly icon instead. I guess it could be due to bug 1453751.
I see a favicon for this site, are there any more steps to reproduce here?
Flags: needinfo?(mcastelluccio)
Oh also please check the browser console for errors and see in the network panel if any favicon loads occurred at all.
Unfortunately not, I simply open web.telegram.org and I see no favicon. web.telegram.org redirects to https://web.telegram.org/#/im. In the browser console I see: [Exception... "Favicon load from https://web.telegram.org/favicon.ico was cancelled." nsresult: "0x804b0002 (NS_BINDING_ABORTED)" location: "JS frame :: resource:///modules/ContentLinkHandler.jsm :: cancel :: line 107" data: no]

Same problem on http://napoli.repubblica.it/. With this one I see: [Exception... "Favicon load from http://www.repstatic.it/cless/main/nazionale/2013-v1/img/common/favicon/favicon-152.png was cancelled." nsresult: "0x804b0002 (NS_BINDING_ABORTED)" location: "JS frame :: resource:///modules/ContentLinkHandler.jsm :: cancel :: line 107" data: no] [Visualizza/nascondi dettagli messaggio.] [Exception... Another problem on https://activedata.allizom.org: [Exception... Two have the default Nightly favicon, one has no favicon. Should I open a new bug for this one?

I don't in Chrome and the server is responding with an error for the favicon request so I think that may be a server issue.

In older versions of Firefox though it is consistent (there's no favicon at all on all tabs opened to this website). In Nightly I see a Nightly icon in two tabs out of three, no favicon in the third tab.

In older > versions of Firefox though it is consistent (there's no favicon at all on > all tabs opened to this website). In Nightly I see a Nightly icon in two > tabs out of three, no favicon in the third tab. I've noticed that there's a Nightly icon if I open the website via the awesome bar. There's no favicon if I open the website using a link (either from an external program, or e.g. by right clicking and opening in a new tab). To reproduce: 1) open https://activedata.allizom.org/ (see the Nightly icon) 2) right click on "Use the ActiveData Query Tool" and open in a new tab (see there's no Nightly icon).

This is bug 1472475 most likely.

Does this bug reproduce with the latest nightly?

Now I have no icon instead of a Nightly icon.

Another fix has landed, is this working in the latest nightly? I still can't reproduce this unfortunately.

This is fixed for me on the latest nightly.
This is fixed for me on the latest nightly too.
I'm going to call this the same issue as bug 1473264 then. Please re-open if you can still reproduce this.
