- custom build received from Petru in order to test the API 26 Migration
Device(s):
- Samsung Galaxy S7 (Android 8);
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Fennec and tap on the app drawer;
2. Select the split screen option from the top right of the Fennec window;
3. Open any other application in the remaining screen;
4. Tap on Fennec so that it's the actively selected window;
5. Tap on the middle line of the screen to open the options;
6. Select the PIP option from the list.
Expected result:
Fennec is opened in PIP mode on the device.
Actual result:
Fennec crashes.

Notes:
FF Nightly, Beta and Release work without any problems on the device using this mode.

The crash happens in code that will be added through bug 1465323, namely the new PackageAddedReceiver code.

This should have been fixed by the code added in https://reviewboard.mozilla.org/r/256930/diff/2-3/ .
Please check after the Oreo patches have landed.

Verified in the latest Nightly, Fennec no longer crashes.
