Builds: - custom build received from Petru in order to test the API 26 Migration Device(s): - Samsung Galaxy S7 (Android 8); Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Fennec and tap on the app drawer; 2. Select the split screen option from the top right of the Fennec window; 3. Open any other application in the remaining screen; 4. Tap on Fennec so that it's the actively selected window; 5. Tap on the middle line of the screen to open the options; 6. Select the PIP option from the list. Expected result: Fennec is opened in PIP mode on the device. Actual result: Fennec crashes. Crash report: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/173711ac-2db2-4d20-8e87-e57650180706 Notes: FF Nightly, Beta and Release work without any problems on the device using this mode.
The crash happens in code that will be added through bug 1465323, namely the new PackageAddedReceiver code.
