1476900 - Can't update Nightly from about:firefox or notification bar

Environment: 
Device: Nokia 6 (Android 7.1.1), Nexus 6P(Android 8.1.0), Google Pixel (Android 9);
Build: Nightly 63.0a1 (2018-07-18);

Steps to reproduce:
1. Build 63.0a1 from 07-18 is installed on device;
2. Go to about:firefox and tap on "check for updates"

Expected result:
After step 2 "Install update" option is available. Nightly build date is updated to build from 07-19 without issues if the button is tapped.

Actual result:
"Install update" button is not responsive, Nightly build is not updated. Also, the same behavior is when tapping on the notification "Update downloaded for Nightly. Touch to install".

Not reproducible on HTC Desire 820(Android 6.0.1).
Not reproducible when updating the build from Play Store.

Attachment: Bug 1476900 - Can't update Nightly from about:firefox or notification bar;

The problem was because on API >=26 the JobIntentServices used for the updater
functionality will be used by JobScheduler by binding to them.
But because they were set to run in a different process the binding was not
possible.

Verified on Nightly 07/26 build. Fixed on Android 7 and lower.
Still reproducing on Android 8 & higher. Logged: Bug 1478970.
