Still there on the "Recommendations" tab. Should we change that eventually?

I'm not sure where else the mission link would go to.
We talked with Sancus recently though, maybe "supporting" should be a link to Thunderbird's donate page.

Yes, but the discovery pane needs to be replaced before we can change text. There's no way to localize text changes on this right now. We can change links, since it doesn't require l10n.

I'd like to redesign that whole page, Christopher and I have discussed it. We should have better information there and it is due for an upgrade.
What needs to change in order to be able to localize text changes?

I've posted a thread to maildev about this page, since a bigger decision is needed about it before we should spend any time rebuilding it.

We are missing clicks to users who are interested in supporting Thunderbird, plus misleading and confusing users.
That said, with 77 beta I'm not seeing this any more on the recommendations page.
But is the recommendations page just broken and the old UI coming back?
IF it is coming back, can we please fix the core issue of this bug report and make the link go somewhere that isn't stupid? (Then file follow up bugs as needed "I've posted a thread to maildev about this page, since a bigger decision is needed about it before we should spend any time rebuilding it." Where do we want it to go?
- https://give.thunderbird.net/ (or perhaps that is too "in your face"?)
- somewhere else?

I've just created Bug 1642219 - Add "Add-ons Support" to Thunderbird add-ons manager, which may help in some way

It's not broken, the 77 beta recommendations page is the UI that is final for 78. So this bug is no longer relevant.
