While installing the latest version of Deploystudio on High Sierra, I noticed the Apple Server App, which cost $19.99, has 1.5 star rating on the Apple Store. After reading many comments of all the ways it breaks the OS and is not suitable for production environments, I think it is time to setup a standalone netboot service in support of Deploystudio instead of dealing with the Server app.
I've looked a couple options and I think bsdpy is the way to go. JAMF[1] looks nice but might be too bloated and installs via installer. bsdpy[2] on the other hand is pure python and runs in a set of docker containers.
This service should be small and easy to deploy with puppet. And it should support any future deploystudio replacements such as Jamf's Casper service.

The BSDPy service was setup quite awhile ago and supports the current deploystudio netboot workflows used by Mojave. This will all go away in the T2 chipset hardware era anyway.
