Firefox is moving the localization system over from using DTDs to using the Fluent system. First major move was bug 1415730.

Thunderbird should start migrating too.

Zibi, are there any scripts you use to move any of this over, or is it all manual work?

No, not really. This is a fairly cautious and slow process. We only now started migrating more of the XUL in system principal. We use migration scripts [0] to preserve translations, but there's a bit of manual work needed to get those migrations done.

Flod is leading that effort.

I'll try to help, but please, get ready for a slow long ride as this will take time :)
