Sorting by name sorts the folders structure as though they were bookmarks; sorting should sort only the bookmarks themselves; the directory structure should remain intact.
Please clarify. Do you mean that you do not wish to sort the bookmarks within the folders?
No, bookmarks within folders should be sorted, the folders should not be sorted as bookmarks; they should always appear at the top. For example, if I have a folder named "Folder Of Stuff" and "Second Folder" and bookmarks named "Boomark A", "Some Bookmark," and "Another Bookmark", it should not sort it as this: Another Bookmark Bookmark A Folder of Stuff Second Folder Some Bookmark It should rather sort it like this: Folder of Stuff Second Folder Another Bookmark Bookmark A Some Bookmark Not sure how well I worded this, hope you understand.

If I understand this bug report correctly, the reporter wants the folders sorted first, then the actual bookmarks, as Explorer sorts files and folders? If so, I'll add my vote to this bug.

This should be reopened, because import feature still sorts imported Favorites the wrong way.
Forgot to mention: Firefox 1.0.
This problem is not yet solved in Bookmarks Manager.
