User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.100 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: Send a message from POP3 account to ONE recipient. View message in "Sent" folder and consider sending a follow-up message to the same recipient. Actual results: Observe, there is no obvious way to send follow-up message, as "Reply" goes to myself and "Reply All" button is missing. Note: This is an issue with single-recipient messages only. When I send to multiple recipients, there is a "Reply All" button that sends to all recipients except myself. Expected results: One of two things: (a) There should be a "Reply All" or "Reply Recipient" button, or (b) The reply button should send to the original recipient Similar ancient bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85296
(In reply to Brett from comment #0) > Observe, there is no obvious way to send follow-up message, as "Reply" goes > to myself and "Reply All" button is missing. Actually, that shouldn't happen at all. Replying to a message in the Sent box is considered a "reply to self" and has its own rules. In case that there was just one recipient, that reply will go to that recipient. Does that not work for you? If you have multiple identities you may want to try setting the following pref via the "Config Editor" in the Advanced Options/Preferences: mailnews.reply_to_self_check_all_ident
I had exactly this same problem, see https://stackoverflow.com/q/53353056/1745001 and changing that flag at Tools->Options->Advanced->General->[Config Editor button on bottom right]->mailnews.reply_to_self_check_all_ident from false to true solved the problem. Thanks!

Thanks! Tries to implement your solution for the same. Not helps. If I press "Smart Reply" button to reply on Sent email, it always reply to me.
I store my Sent messages in Inbox folder to have all Threads in one place
AFAIK there shouldn't BE a "Smart Reply" button - I think Smart Reply is functionality that gives you Reply and/or Reply-All buttons as necessary, not an actual button that says "Smart Reply". The issue I had is confirmed as an issue at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1509326 and the fix is implemented for an upcoming TB release, see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1511723. Sounds like maybe you have a different issue?
I guess the Reply button is the "Smart Reply". Anyway. Current behavior is follows: 1) In my inbox I have a email. Sender - Me, sent to some person "A" 2) I select the email and press Reply button 3) Thunderbird creates email to myself which is wrong. Expected result - it should put person "A" to "Send To" field. The only way to work around that issue is the Right Button click on message and select "Reply All" option. This behavior is very similar to the first topic.
