User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.13; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0 Steps to reproduce: 1. using Thunderbird 52.9.1 on macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 2. Thunderbird window is top on Finder and active 3. change network setting through AppleMenu (i.e. Applemenu -> Location -> other location) Actual results: Same as bug 1362238 Network profile remains the same location, nothing happens in network setting. Mozilla crash reporter window opens, but it appears just behind the Thunderbird's window, so hardly recodnized. Thunderbird does not freeze. Can continue using Thunderbird. Every attempt to change location results opening crash reporter windows. So multiple crash window open behind the browser window. Expected results: Crash reporter window does not open. Network setting changes normaly.

I have tried 60.2.1 and 63.0b1. Thunderbird does not crash, but network setting failed on both Thunderbird. Crash reporter does not launch, so there is no crash report.
Firefox 62.0.3 is OK, Thuderbird 60.2.1 is N.G. so this problem is not resolved.
What is your crash ID with Thuderbird 60.2.1?
Thunderbird 60.2.1 does not crash. Mozilla crash reporter does not launch, so there is no crash ID. But Changing Network Setting fails through AppleMenu .
Murali, do you have high sierra to test this?

Dossy, can you test this?

Tested on TB 60.3.1 on High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G2307), and changing Location using the Apple menu worked as expected - and, TB adjusted accordingly. I created a new test location in my Network preferences that has no IP connectivity, and when I switch locations, TB immediately goes into offline mode, and then when I switch locations back it goes back online. I can't reproduce this bug.

Adam, does this fail also for you?

Hrm. I don't have a "Location" option in my Apple menu; but neither have I used the network location feature in... probably over a decade? I can try to set it up and test if you point me to the proper place to configure this. (Sorry for the delay in responding; I had meant to figure it out myself, but it's becoming increasingly clear that I don't have time for that, so I'm asking for step-by-step instructions)

gensurjp seems to be gone.
