User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0
Steps to reproduce:
1. Have Thunderbird of version 60.2 installed
2. Switch to dark theme
Actual results:
All even message folder rows have white background, so their names are unreadable (the colour of folder names is white as well).
Expected results:
Even folder names could have the same background as the odd ones, or slightly differen shade, but not white.

Dark theme of TB or Linux? TB dark theme shouldn't make the tree black. If Linux dark theme, do you have other zebra striped applications like file manager? Could you add a screenshot of this?
Dark theme in thunderbird "Themes" settings obviously. I wouldn't file the bug otherwise.
Regarding xfce4 settings - I use the default theme. I just tried to change it and it doesn't affect the way thunderbird looks like in any way so I am strongly convinced it is unrelated.

In TB 60 the dark theme doesn't style the trees.
With TB's dark theme disabled, the tree background is white? Do you have userCrome.css styles applied?

1/ I've appended both the default and light theme as well. Now after I tried the light one, I must say it is also somewhat scattered, but everything is readable.
2/ No userChrome.css alterations done
3/ Yeas, TB 60 styles the trees indeed. See this bug for another example https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1109791 . The images attached to that bug clearly show the background of the folder pane has different colour based on the theme selected.

Okay, but the menubar is below the tabs. Is this done with a extension?

I meant no special styling for the dark theme (also the light theme).
Please can you try restart TB with all extensions disabled (see Help menu)? And then could you go to this page and attach a screenshot of it? http://mozilla.paenglab.ch/test/SystemColors.html I hope you use Firefox because with others it doesn't work.

(removing 64bit keyword = it is intended for bugs which are not universal, i.e. that don't appear on 32bit platform)

Thanks for the hint, you were actually right. I have an addon "CustomizeMyBird" installed, which is indeed responsible for the zebra effect. I totally forgot about it since I have it installed like 5 years ago.
So you were actually correct userChrome.css was modified only via this addon and not manually though.
Therefore there is nothing to fix and we can close the bug.
Thanks for your assistance.
