Add a section to about:privatebrowsing that describes how extensions are disable, and provides a link to about:addons.

On second thought, this probably needs a different design.  The extension section would be below the fold on a smaller screen.

Please note bug 1501747 which is an ongoing project to replace about:privatebrowsing with activity streams.  Depending on timelines, you may want to move this to modify the code in activity streams, and/or both places...

CCing Kate who should be aware of the state of things in that project.

Ah, that's probably why we focused on a panel first (bug 1515701).

Sounds good.  Have you been working with Bryan Bell by any chance?  I believe he has been keeping an eye on the designs related to PB in the past recent while so if not it may be a good idea to keep him in the loop to ensure he's keeping the broad picture of how things fit together design wise in mind.

I have not, I assume that Emanuela and/or Meridel do.  In any case, this particular bug can be sidelined until later.

Please keep in mind that we shouldn't be showing a warning on this page if the user doesn't have extensions installed. See also bug 1544975.
