Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Open NewTab pabe
  2. Click on the search field
  3. Keypress Ctrl+Up or Ctrl+Down

Actual Results:
Default search engine is not changed

Expected Reslts:
Default search engine is changed

Bulk change for all regression bugs with status-firefox67 as 'fix-optional' to be marked 'affected' for status-firefox68.

I can still reproduce the problem on Nightly68.0a1(Build ID 20190404014638) Windows10.

hey mike, the regression window points to a big patch you landed. It might also have something to do with the search "handoff" we are doing from the content search. For me, ctrl-up on a mac doesn't do anything, and I'm not sure what the original functionality was. Any ideas?
