Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/72.0.3626.119 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

I tried to send an e-mail from my ERP app (using mailto) through Thunderbird.

Actual results:

E-mail was created and sent instantly in the background.

Expected results:

E-mail should be created and appear as New message window in Thunderbird in order to fill in the mail body. This behavior stops working properly after upgrade from 60.5.1 to 60.5.2.

More information on this. With a BC to myself set in Account Settings, the mail goes instantly to me not giving me a chance to send it to the intended recipient. With this setting removed, mail errors of various kinds pop up, the message depends on the application attempting to send the mail. The problem occurred in the above mentioned upgrade. This is a critical issue!

Temporary walkaround is to turn off the automatic upgrades and donwgrade Thinderbird to 60.5.1 using this link https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/60.5.1/
