Sylvestre told me legacy, non-modal bug pages could be found in Google’s search results. Google is apparently ignoring canonical URLs so we need a better solution. I’m thinking about:
- Redirect logged-out users, including search engine crawlers, to the modal bug page
- Remove support for the
format=default
param - Remove the Legacy format link from the modal bug page

The legacy UI and modal UI show the same bug but have various differences in the content, that’s probably why Google’s algorithm ignores the canonical URL.
Google caches the printable format as well. We should remove it (in a separate bug) in favour of a print stylesheet.

I’ll remove format=multiple
as well if a single bug ID is provided.
