From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1a) Gecko/20020611 BuildID: 2002061104 There is no longer any progress/status indicator when moving a group of messages from a local folder to an IMAP folder. In the past if you highlighted, say, 50 messages in a local folder and dragged them into an IMAP folder you would see a status bar at the bottom which indicating, "Moving/copying message 7 of 30" and so forth. In this Mozilla build there is nearly no indication that anything at all is happening, even though messages are indeed being moved/copied in the background. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Place multiple messages in local folder. 2. Highlight all/several messages. 3. Drag the highlighted group to an IMAP folder. Actual Results: Messages are moved, but no status/progress is shown. It appears that nothing is happening. Expected Results: Progress indicator in status bar should show "Moving message 7 of 30" or similar.

Reporter, I think you are running into bug 150716. There were problems moving/deleting multiple mesgs with 1.1a release. If you try a more recent mozilla trunk build it should be fixed.

No, the reporter's meaning that there is no indicator when you move mail around. Like there's no dialog saying, currently moving messager 5 out of 6 to folder "INBOX". Confirming on build 2002071008 [and I _CAN_ move/delete multiple msgs]

re: dupe'ing of 157297, I think this is a more general problem. I seem to have had the same problem with deleting a large number of messages from an IMAP account, although I haven't reproduced any as reliably as when doing this bug (i.e. the moving messages.). Also note that 157297 is about moving from IMAP to local; this is local to IMAP. IMHO I think there is a need for a more general bug? Also, presumably 101836 is ALSO the same issue? (but hasn't so far been connected to THIS bug in any way, AFAICS?)
Just installed Mozilla 1.1b, notice same behavior (no status/progress indicator when moving multiple messages from local folders to an IMAP folder).
Same behavior in Mozilla 1.1 (release). It takes almost 45 seconds to move 30 small messages from the local "Sent" folder to an IMAP folder, and the only indication you have that anything is happening is the barber-pole in the lower right portion of the window. After a while, the messages suddenly disappear as they have been successfully moved, but it gives the impression that something has gone wrong. Previous versions of Netscape showed text progress (i.e. "Moving message 3 of 30, 4 of 30, 5 of 30", etc.).
