There is no input field that can be typed into in order to interact with the server a/o chat room, rending IRC basically unusable.

Server/room message are visible.

I believe that this is a duplicate of bug 1564443.

I believe this was fixed, but didn't make it into the beta for 69.

Please reopen the bug since the referenced bug 156443 was reported/fixed for/in 70 (nightly) but apparently not in 69 (beta) and there is no indication that the patch will be uplifted to 69, hence still a bug in 69 until resolved indeed.

That would be at least my humble understanding of how the bug tracking works.

I requested that the fix for bug 1564443 gets uplifted to beta.
