Noticed something odd in my Firefox profile that doesn't appear when I copy my prefs.js to a new profile -- the add-on popup for CookieAutoDelete appears as blank.
Running an up to date Ubuntu eoan machine on a Wayland session with MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND="1"
Profile can be found here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1zxC6wE-4t4ewI3-VmHHzAavu_ihNeFwX
Steps to reproduce:
- Open profile attached
- click the CAD icon
What happens:
Popup appears, but is blank.
Expected result:
Popup should not be blank.

Martin, I know you are away, but hoping you can take a look at this once you are back, as your commit regressed this (the previous behavior wasn't great either, since the popup appeared partway off-screen when the window is maximized, but the popup contents were previously visible).

Can the enabled WebRender do the difference here? Also does it work with a new profile? Thanks.
Also which compositor do you run?

Disabling WebRender makes the popup appear correctly. I can't reproduce in a fresh profile. I am running GNOME 3.32.2 on Ubuntu eoan.

I observe this, too, with FF 71 on GS 3.35.3 (git master). But there seems to be an easy work around (spotted in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1581851#c9, which appears to be the same issue): long press the button, for like half a second or so. Then the content shows up reliably for me.

I can't reproduce this on FF 73 any more, the content now reliably shows up.

The very similar bug 1581851 has been closed as well, so I think we are done here.
