It snaps but leaves a 2(?) pixel gap, you can see the white app that is behind Thunderbird in the gap

Expected results:

No gap

Severity: normal → minor

Does this happen with FF?

(In reply to Jorg K (GMT+2) from comment #1)

Does this happen with FF?

Nope! Same as bug 1413133, FF does it right.

Can we set this to "Confirmed"?

Has anyone reproduced it yet?

Oh sorry, I meant "New". But I guess that only works when someone else confirmed it as well. Oh well.

In case Alfred can't, I still can :)

Alfred is gone. So your help would be appreciated

Well what do you need? My settings? The steps in the original ticket text still reproduce for me.

You can comment as to whether your bug 1413133 is essentially the same issue

Hrm, I don't think so, the gap from the position it does get restored at is a lot bigger.

TCW, can you reproduce this, and bug 1413133?

TCW, can you reproduce this, and bug 1413133?

Testing with 91.0b4 x64 So, as far as snapping (Window+Left or Right arrow key) goes, it still repros. Kind of. On a first test, it worked fine. Subsequent tests, did not. Further, I am only able to use the Window+Left arrow key to do snapping. It will stop working using Window+Right arrow key.

Can someone else test this using 91.0b4.

  1. Start TB full screen and do Window+Right arrow key. Should snap to the right side of the screen fully.
  2. Do another Window+Right arrow key action. Notice it now has the slight pixel gap at the right of the screen.
  3. Do yet another Window+Right arrow key. In my case, it snaps fully to the LEFT side of the screen.
  4. Do yet another Window+Right arrow key. In my case, it now has the slight pixel gap at the LEFT of the screen.

After four Window+Right arrow key presses, it no longer works and I have to now use Window+Left arrow key.

As for Bug 1413133, I can confirm using these STR that it still happens along with a couple additional observation. In my case, I do not have to fully shut down the machine. I simply had to close TB using the [X] up at the top left or a File > Exit action while TB is in a snapped-left state. Oddly, It will eventually stop work using Window+Left arrow key and only allow me to use Window+Right arrow key. The exact opposite of what I observed above. Something is wonky here.
