User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:69.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/69.0
Steps to reproduce:
On previous versions (FF before 53), when having multiple tabs opened, if one put the mouse over the list of tabs, the url of that tab was shown on the "progress bar" at the bottom left of the page.
Now i'm on on FF69 on a new profile, when hovering over tabs on the tab list no url of that tab is shown on the progress bar.
Actual results:
You will see on the picture there is no url shown on the progress bar at the bottom, being i'm over a tab in the tabs list.
Expected results:
Url/web address shown on the progress bar.

Hi Mica,
Thanks for the details. I was able to reproduce the bug on Windows 7 on the following versions:
Release 69.0 (64-bit), Nightly 71.0a1 (2019-10-02) (64-bit) and Beta 70.0b11 (64-bit).
This does not reproduce on Win 10, on Win 10 I can see the URL. I've chosen a component. If you consider that there's another component that's more proper for this case you may change it.
Best regards, Flor.
Hello Florencia, thanks for the heads up.
And yes i confirm you are correct, i'm using Windows 7 (didn't thought it was relevant but it seems it is).

Since regular tabs show tooltips when you hover them, and these function basically like tabs, would tooltips be a better solution?
With the pref browser.proton.places-tooltip.enabled
it would show the title in one row and the URL in another row. I think the tooltip is more usable in this case, as it doesn't require your eyes to dart back and forth from one side of the screen to the other. And semantically it seems like the status panel is mostly reserved for links, bookmarks, history, and other affordances that will navigate or add a new tab, rather than activate an existing one.
Bug 1633946 should add tooltips to the all tabs menu. What do you think?
