When Mozilla is open in the background the text input of the applications
SinpleText and Yhoo messenger is directed to the url input of Mozilla.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Mozilla Browser
2. Sart Simple Text
3. Type in Text

Actual Results:  The text appears in the url line of Mozilla

Expected Results:  The text should appear in the applichation

Your build is a little old, but this resembles two open bugs;
bug 108653, bug 153067 - might be a dup.

instead of swithcing Mozilla -> [application]
do this : Mozilla -> Finger -> [application] "

Almost certainly a dup of bug 108653. Exact same symptom.
