Details

As :dmajor pointed out to me, the sanitizer configs (including the ones I am adding now in bug 1590162) are cargo culting some directives without comments. Also the sanitizer configs have grown over the years and there is a certain amount of duplication.

This bug about cleaning up and consolidating all the sanitizer configs (fuzzing, non-fuzzing, nightly, etc) and adding more documentation where possible.
