I switched to a dark theme for my desktop (GNOME). The web looks mostly the same as before and I understand that there is no way to make most of the web conform to my dark theme. On the other hand when I view web documents that do not use HTML colour attributes, HTML images or CSS colour changes to customise any colours, then there are only two colours (black text on white background). This could easily be changed so that viewing these documents uses the system theme colours by default, which would make these documents in Firefox fit with the dark mode available on GNOME/macOS/Windows.
