In order to support optional localization for experiments, I'd like to have a component that allows text to be any of the following:

  1. A localized identifier: {string_id: "title"}
  2. An unlocalized string: "Hello world!"
  3. Unlocalized attributes: {placeholder: "Enter your email"}
  4. Falsey, which results in the element being hidden

[Tracking Requested - why for this release]: this will enable unlocalized or localized experiments in the 75 release with consistent schemas.

Kate did you want this on beta?

Flags: needinfo?(khudson)

Tim is this still needed for experiments in 75?

Hey sorry, this isn't needed anymore – I'll update the tracking

(no need to do remote localization for the 75 experiment – it's pref only)
