As of Bug 1658242, the new account-ecosystem ping is on by default in nightly, off by default on other channels. This bug tracks the removal of that per-channel logic in favour of defaulting toolkit.telemetry.ecosystemtelemetry.enabled to true on all channels.

I want to get another couple of days of data from the validation work in Bug 1635667 before we do this, to be confident the ping is working as intended.

We have not observed any new bugs or stability issues with FxA or Sync on Nightly while this has been active.

Chelsea, any other blockers you're aware of from our conversations around this go/no-go decision?

This has been enabled on Nightly for a while and we've observed
no ill effects; ref Bug 1635667 for work to validate that it's
submitting the expected data.

Absent any particular reason to hold it back, I'm going to go ahead and land this, it's low risk and easy to undo if we find some late-breaking issue in the data.

Bug 1661631 reverted this change, turning AET back off by default in order to make space for some additional design reviews. Re-opening.

We're no longer pursuing this approach for AET, closing out the remaining bugs.
