Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:81.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/81.0

Steps to reproduce:

I display Thunderbird on a monitor in vertical (a 22" full HD monitor), so resolution is 1080x1920 (so not like in horizontal 1920x1080).

Actual results:

Until last update (68.12.0), no problem.
But now, the minimum width of the main thunderbird window size seems to have changed, and cannot be under 1363 px width.
So it's wider than the 1080px of my monitor and I cannot access the right icons or button anymore (close and minimize, on the main window, right button on the top, right button on the read window message ...)
It's very annoying.

Expected results:

restore a minimum width size of 1080px like before.
Thanks.

I found that caused by Cardbook module (so it's not an Thunderbird Update issues at all)
I have to hide preview pan (with F8) in CardBook module to solve.
Then, all is fine

Invalid as it's caused by CardBook addon per reporter's comment 1.

That said, we do have a problem that the message header toolbar is not flexible and forces the entire message preview pane to be much wider than reasonable for reduced window width, reporter's case of vertical screen or just any regular screen with 2 apps side by side.
Another pointer why bug 1556261 is needed, and also, the toolbar itself should be more flexible when squeezed, or maybe we shouldn't use a toolbar, but something else.
