Steps to reproduce:

Currently, the Thunderbird calendar does not have the feature to show Birthday / Anniversary fields from the address book. This is an important and quite basic feature in PIM software.

Before TB 78, the excellent extension ThunderBirthDay provided this feature, but currently there is neither a functioning extension for TB78+ nor is it in Thunderbird core.

This enhancement request is to make this essential feature an integral part of Thunderbird. It might be of help to connect with the guys at ThunderBirthDay, because they are considering how this feature can be implemented in TB78+ [2]

Bug 151994 is related to this bug, but that bug is both, outdated and locked for further comments [3]

I guess this is a combination of bug 619331 and bug 151994.
