Details

Open a page with a "rewritten" link in it, e.g. https://www.jump.net?goto=http://other.address.org/action?foo=bar If you move the mouse over the link, it will be displayed correctly, if you click on it, the page will correctly be opened. But if you choose "Copy Link Location" from the context menu (because you don't want to be redirected but to open a new tab etc.) all special characters _after_ the first = will be coded into "quoted printable" --> the link will become unusable because it'll look like https://www.jump.net?goto=http://other.address.org/action%3Ffoo%3Dbar
WFM on Moz 1.2a (build 2002090708) on Win2000.
WFM with 2002 090708 trunk on WinXP with the first link in comment 0. Copying and pasting does not escape anything. Note that the status bar incorrectly /unescapes/ the second link (bug 150620). Bug 150620 doesn't explain why clicking a link would work while copying and pasting it to the address bar would not work.
Summary: Copy link location doesn't work with redirected links → Copy Link Location %-escapes some characters

V/dupe. not a perfect dupe, but same idea, we escape various characters for a reason, then display them only in status as unescaped.
