This add-on shouldn't run in the developer toolbox process, but due to the way the toolbox works, it does. I don't see any chance of that changing on the toolkit side of things, but what we can do is use the flaws in the system to disable the add-on. This stops the toolbox process crashing on shutdown every time.
Filed as a separate bug to bug 1559448 as there's enough noise there, and this isn't going to completely solve that problem.
