I am still getting 2 password requests when TB starts up in MocOS Mojave.
This is despite the "fix" in bug 1664016

I figured out how to get profile manager to start, and made a new profile, and set a master password, and it is only asked for once.
But, I really want to use my old profile since I have about 10 imap accounts, and am not sure how to set them all up again!
Using my old profile still causes 2 password requests, so there is still a bug somewhere. Users should not have to recreate their profiles!

You mean the pref from bug 1610390? Well that's still off for mac since it doesn't work on mac.

For me this went away around 78, but is now back in 102. Thunderbird displays one password prompt then immediately removes it, displays another which I complete, and then another, which I complete again. Then it seems happy.
Running latest macOS Mojave.

Also happened to me again today. Thunderbird version 102. On MacOS 11.6.7 since my machine is a late 2013 Macbook Pro which will no longer run the latest OS version. I've been left in the dust.

also seeing this again. I have to time my master password entry just right so that I can type it in without another dialog coming up in the middle of typing.
looks like duplicate: bug 1772580

A quick method of forcing the dialog to allow typing is cmd+tab to another application, and tab back again to Thunderbird

Just restarted macOS and left the initial MP prompt (see bug 1778922 for white bg) sitting there for a while. When I checked I had three prompts. Is that the right place to mention that?
I usually fill the MP prompt right away and don't have the problem of multiple pw prompts anymore.

I'm still seeing 3 logins on TB 102.1.2 on MacOS 11.6.8.

As far as I can tell, no change with 102.1.2, still seeing the multiple prompts.

I have the same problem with Thunderbird 102.1.2 (and some versions bevor) on Mac OS 10.14.6.
When I start Thunderbird it ask the main-password for every Email-Account that will synchronize at stat up.

Fixed for me as well on Thunderbird 102.2.0 and Mac OS 10.14.6. I am curious though why this bug was resolved WORKSFORME and not FIXED?

We only use FIXED when we know what patch fixed the issue.
