I extend my application of the software “Mozilla Thunderbird 78.7.0-1.1”.
Thus I configured a few identities for a mail account.
See also:
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/manual-account-configuration
I can compose another message then.
Now I would to achieve that a SMTP service will automatically be applied according to a selected user identity for sending the message.
There are services which can support to send data from different addresses while others accept only their own domain.
Thus there should use cases be taken better into account where not only the default SMTP service should be chosen.

The application interests are related.
But I find that the change focus is different in detail.
Will it also matter that the other feature requests were submitted on 2012-02-16 and 2005-01-11?

Sure, if your issue isn't a new one.

Thanks Markus for your RFE. Iiuc, the feature you are asking for already exists.
- `≡ > Account Settings > YourAccount > Manage Identities
- Select any identity > Edit...
- Change
Outgoing Server (SMTP)
for the identity
You can use this to associate a different SMTP server with each identity.
- Is that what you're looking for?
- Does this work as expected?

Do any test cases show that involved software components do still work as expected (according to possible system configurations)?
