Confirmed on macOS.
Middle clicking on a Tab closes said tab.
Opening a ridiculous amount of tabs (like one does) causes the "List all tabs" caret menu to appear. Opening that menu and middle clicking a tab in the list has no effect. I can right-click an item, then select "Close tab" from the context menu, but that's an extra click.

This bug has existed since 8 years ago: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=953217
Please, someone fix this. It is 5 times more convenient to close multiple tabs in a row via drop-down list.
