User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:90.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/90.0
Steps to reproduce:
Am on 89.0b4 (32-bit), Windows 10
Start / Open Thunderbird to check my emails
Actual results:
Thunderbird starts downloading new messages to the Inbox.
It displays the progress in the status bar.
The details are displayed incorrectly - "Downloading message 4 of 1 in Inbox..."
See attached screenshot
Expected results:
The progress message should have been one of the following:
"Downloading message 1 of 1 in Inbox..." or
"Downloading message 1 of 4 in Inbox..." or
"Downloading message 4 of 4 in Inbox..."

Reporter Kiran,
How many messages were actually being downloaded when you saw this? If there were 4 or less I'm surprised you were able to see and screen cap the quickly disappearing progress indicator unless the messages are quite large or your network is very slow.
I haven't looked at this in a while but this seems to indicated that a network error can result in the download count exceeding the correct count by a factor of 4 like you report: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1665146#c12
Hello Gene,
I use close to 10 accounts on my thunderbird ... so I guess that is what slowed things down just enough for me to take a screenshot.
The link that you have shared gives me a lot of context to what could be going on here. Thanks for that.
