STR:

1. Update to the candidate build of 93.0b1
2. Compose a new message and try to drag and drop a file attachment

Results:

1. The new drag and drop attachment window doesn't appear mouse cursor is a circle with a line through it

Expected Results:

1. The new drag and drop attachment window should appear

Rolling back to 92.0b5 restores the correct behavior

This seems to have been fixed in the 2nd build of 93.0b1. WFM now.

Looks like this issue us back in 94.0b4. I just tried to attach a .WAV and a .ICS file and it doesn't like drag & drop. Sadly, error console isn't showing any errors. Shall I re-open or create a new bug?

Ok, so I can confirm, at least for me here at home, that the bustage happens when updating from 94.0b3 to b4. But I am seeing some bizarre things in the meantime. I thought I'd be slick and downgrade to 93.0b1 and see when the bustage starts but upon launch (after an --allow-downgrade), drag & drop was busted there too. It showed me a ⃠ .

So, of course, let's try 93.0b1 Safe Mode with Add-ons disabled (I don't have any Add-ons BTW). Boom, drag & drop works fine. Back to regular mode. Boom, drag & drop works fine. Huh? Ok fine. Let's update to 94.0b1. Now, drag & drop shows me a ⃠ . Ok, Safe Mode time. Boom, drag & drop works fine. Back to regular mode. Boom, drag & drop works fine. HOW!?

I do this same process of updating until I get to 94.0b4. After the installer finishes, I launch 94.0b4 in regular mode and get the ⃠ . So let's go to Safe Mode. Nope, cannot drag & drop anymore. I get the new drag & drop window but when I release the mouse, zero, zip, nada. Back to regular mode. I get the new drag & drop window but when I release the mouse, zero, zip, nada.

Now, if I revert back to 94.0b3, run Safe Mode on 1st launch, do the drag & drop action successfully one time and re-launch 94.0b3 in regular mode, the ability to drag & drop persists. As soon as I update to 94.0b4 and, even if launching in Safe Mode the 1st time, Drag & Drop ability breaks BUT I still get the new drag & drop window rather than just a white screen/window and ⃠ for a mouse cursor.

So, for me, I am seeing this when bumping from 94.0b3 to b4. Any way to see the change-set from 94.0b3 to b4? Maybe I can figure out in which build it broke.
