User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/94.0.4606.81 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
Running Thunderbird 91.2.0 - the latest release from October 7th - on Windows 8.1 (this was not a problem on a Windows 10 machine.)
- Open write window and attach a PDF.
- Double click the attached PDF to ensure it is the correct document I want to send.
Actual results:
Instead of opening in Acrobat or internal PDF viewer the compose window duplicates itself with the attachment which now says it is 0kbs. The original compose window is behind the duplicated copy and the PDF will still not open no matter how many clicks.
Expected results:
PDF should have opened with Acrobat (default PDF viewer).

Based on this, I think bug 1698140 is more appropriate as a duplicate, which hasn't been fixed yet.
