Steps to reproduce:
Preferences-> FIles and Attachments -> select a tool as a default viewer (e.g., Preview for a jpg file)
Actual results:
Even though I select "Automatically do this for files of this type" I keep getting prompted with the "You have chosen to open" window.
Expected results:
It remembers my setting but keeps prompting me each time. It should not prompt me a second time when I try to open an attachment of the same type.

This is essentially the same bug I reported, Bug 1734653. It is a slight variation of the same issue
