User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:93.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/93.0
Steps to reproduce:
There is a display issue in the message compose window. I am running TB94.0b3 under Windows 11, screen size is 2496x1664 and ratio for text is 150%.
If I change the ratio to 100% the screen gets refreshed and the issue disappears. If I put back the ratio to 150% the issue also disappears. It is only when the window is created that the issue happens, independent of the text ratio value defined in the windows settings.
If I resize the window, the issue remains.
Actual results:
The background of the top section of the message compose window (from, to, subject fields) is incorrectly displayed (see attached screenshot).
Expected results:
There should be no such issue with the display of the top part of the window.

workaround |
Try to disable HW acceleration in Prefs > General on bottom.
Magnus, I launched TB in Troubleshoot mode and indeed the issue disappears. What does this mean ?
Richard, I disabled HW acceleration and this also solves the issue.
Do you want me to move ahead with other tests or should we close this one ?

Troubleshoot also disabled hardware acceleration, IIRC.
I think there's not much we can do then. Hitting some bug in the graphics driver.
Thanks for the workaround. How can this be avoided to impact unsuspecting users? If hardware acceleration results in such display problems it should be disabled by default and a warning given when enabling to unset it again if display errors occur?

There is no UI available to provide a warning, and the graphics architecture related to HWA is being phased out, so I doubt further resources will be given to resolving this issue with a warning.
The best that can be hoped is identify the specific model of graphics hardware and specific version of graphics driver - and assuming there is no newer version - ask that it be blacklisted for acceleration.
