Details
Mozilla Browser could really use a preferences option to enable calling a third
party e-mail client instead of mozilla-mail, in three cases...
1. when clicking on a "mailto:....." link
2. when selecting "Send Page" from the File Menu
3. when selecting "Send Link" from the File Menu
I need to use Evolution (because it supports Connector for Exchange).
Popping open a Mozilla-Mail compose window doesn't help me at all.
And although I can copy and paste an e-mail address, or URL, it isn't
as convenient.
THANKS TO THE SMART PEOPLE WHO MAKE SUCH A GREAT BROWSER!

This should be sent to whatever component owns the "File" menu...
#3 is bug 152526.
#2 might not be possible because you cannot put the entire page into the body as
an enclosure, per RFC 2368.
The mailto URL is
primarily intended for generation of short text messages that are
actually the content of automatic processing (such as "subscribe"
messages for mailing lists), not general MIME bodies.
