Attempts to download the open office installer from the U.S. site and the one above it (probably all) fail at the following url: http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/ooo-osx_downloads.html#download The file is not found on the server when accessed with chimera (october 14th build), but works with exploder.
works for me with a current build. some of the servers are misconfigured so it appears in the content area, but they all work fine.

Ok, noticed something. If I click the bottom server now (12:27 pst) I get the same error (550 file blah blah not found) from the bottom, but in exploder I get a login/webdav screen. I can dl from the other servers now. It appears that the us server either gives a 530 too many users to both navigator and ie or a login that doesn't show up in navigator. Any way to change the agent type so chimera/navigator identifies itself as ie? At the very least either it seems that chimera isn't handling login popups correctly (I don't have any kind of blocking on).

Jason, does it work using Mozilla?
I'm seeing a similar problem using Mozilla 2002101508 (perhaps the same as bug 174815 or bug 173638).
WFM build 1026 - OS X 10.1.5. Only Austria-HTTP, Brazil-HTTP-Linorg, Germany-HTTP-LEO are displaying the contents (see comment 1) in the page instead of showing the save dialog. But if the download is not started and I ask Stop Loading Page, the Save dialog appears anyway and save an empty file Zero Kb. Japan FTP ftp://ftp.ring.gr.jp/ Poland FTP ftp://ftp.openoffice.pl/
WorksForMe using Chimera/2002102704 on 10.1.5 to download from the MacUpdate.com site.
whatever this is, it's not chimera specific.
