Steps to reproduce:

After updating to version 91.4.0 (64-bit), the filters were disabled

Actual results:

I expect the filters to work as expected, but as a result I had to re-configure the filters

Expected results:

Should have just updated, without resetting filters

What specifically did you see that indicated they were disabled?

What specifically did you see that indicated they were disabled?

  1. The first thing I noticed was that new letters came to the "Inbox" folder and did not move through the necessary folders, as I indicated in the filter settings.
  2. In the "Filters" section, the checkboxes were removed from those filters whose letters fall under these same filters.
  3. When I opened the disabled filter in order to edit it, I saw that in the "Selected folder for moving the letter" section it was reset to default and the item "Select the folder where you want to move the letter" was specified. Although before the update, everything worked correctly and there were no problems.

Was this an imap account? If so perhaps folder discovery messed up.
Have you seen this happen since your original report, such as going from version 91 to 102?

This happens mainly with POP3.
There is no such problem with IMAP.
Over the weekend I went through all the folders in the POP3 accounts that are registered in Thunderbird, and most of the folders were re-indexed with a message in the status bar "Ideas creating a new folder file" (this is very similar to when I applied "Folder Compression") and most likely not all folders were recreated automatically.

At the moment, I corrected the folder names manually (the folder names had a random set of the English alphabet, similar to the hash of the directory), and also opened all folders in POP3 and IMAP accounts so that the folders were recreated if for some reason they did not pass reindexing and compression.

At the moment, after the actions taken, the problem is gone in POP3 accounts

Thanks for the description. Reindexing could perhaps cause this - if the Filters code thinks the folder is gone, then it will disable the filter.
