Mail window menus and tooltips are showing words in UK English, even though US English is specified in Preferences. Changing language specified in Preferences to UK English and then back to US English does not correct this.

Thunderbird 91.4.1 (64-bit) build 20211216022855, macOS 12.1.

Checking content in bundled app, locale.ini in /Applications/Thunderbird.app/Contents/Resources indicates en-GB even after changing preferences to en-US. Manually editing the locale.ini file to read en-US and restarting Tb does not change menu and tooltip language.
