User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/99.0.4844.27 Safari/537.36 Edg/99.0.1150.16
Steps to reproduce:
view a Message Source - either;
(a) in Folder view, highlight an email and from the Main Menu, or (b) open the email, and from email window Menu;
Select View then Message Source or press CTRL+U. The Message Source window will open.
From the Message Source window select File then Save Page As. In the File Save dialog, navigate to your chosen folder, provide a filename with a .txt extension and click Save.
Actual results:
No file is saved - anywhere. It's not flagged as hidden or system and it's not in the recycle bin. However, looking in {AppData}\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent there is a link to the non-existent file.
Tested on Thunderbird versions 91.6.0 and 91.6.1 on Windows 10 Pro, and independently verified on two different installations by two other people.
Expected results:
Text file of the message Source should be saved.
This was working on 18/1/22 (I have a saved fie). My records show Thunderbird v91.5.0 was installed at that time.

Not working for me if using a .txt file extension using the 91.5.0 from Fedora Linux, or the 91.6.1 installed from Thunderbird.
However, using File > Print and selecting "Save to PDF" does work for me using both versions on Linux.

PS: Can the original reporter please add Linux as an affected platform? This is not limited to Windows 10. TNX

Thanks for confirming the issue. This works for me with beta 101 on a Mac. That would make this a duplicate of bug 1759911, which is solved in betea but not version 91.
