User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:98.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/98.0
Steps to reproduce:
Typed a url into the address bar, was redirected to another url while trying to modify the original url in my address bar
Actual results:
I am redirected to another url, which starts with the original url i entered. If I click in the url to modify it before the page is redirected, my caret gets repositioned at the beginning of the url instead of respecting where i clicked
Expected results:
The caret should stay where it is if the redirected url contains a portion of the original url

I was having trouble reproducing the same results on MacOS and Firefox 98.0.1
Would you be able to upload a video of your steps and what you're seeing? It would help us further identify and investigate the issue.

Reporter, this report isn't very clear. Could you please record a video as Mandy suggested? If that's not possible, please provide a precise list of steps to reproduce the problem.

Redirect a needinfo that is pending on an inactive user to the triage owner.
