User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:100.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/100.0
Steps to reproduce:
Nothing to reproduce, it just happens out of the blue, today 19.5.22. There is absolutely nothing that I changed or did in the last months that could trigger this nonsense.
Actual results:
Over 8,000 messages from 2018 onwards were downloaded from the server. Webmail says "no new messages", but TB has a different opinion...
Statusbar says 3997 messages downloaded, Inbox says it's over 8,000. I am now copying these messages to a temp folder, and will try to find out if I have local copies already. Looks like real work, checking 8,000 messages, but then, Thunderbird is free, isn't it?
Expected results:
THIS should not have happened.

Is this about POP or about IMAP?
IMAP. It happened only once btw, no further problems.
