User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:101.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/101.0
Steps to reproduce:
(1) Open Address Book
(2) Create a new contact
Actual results:
Observed: Only a very select number of fields are available to edit, these are:
First Name
Middle Name
Last Name
Display Name
Nickname
Email Address
Websites
Phone Numbers
Addresses
Notes
Organizational Properties (Title, Role, Organization)
I know there are at least a few more fields available but apparently not modifiable in the new contact list. The one that I hit that I cannot find is "Departments".
Expected results:
All fields should be visible and easily modifiable.
Interesting point is that "Department" is actually listed in default view in "Horizontal View" but for the life of me I can't find the field to edit.

(1) Open Address Book
Where? Locally, remote?

Hi Joel, thanks for filing this bug.
I understand that your step 1 means "Open Address Book tab in TB", correct?
Your current summary says "Address Book - No Way to Edit Most Fields", but that doesn't match your steps except for the single field which you've mentioned: "Department". Otherwise I think all fields of new card are editable. I'll morph this bug to cover making the "Department" field editable, assuming that "Department" is a field separate from role which we need or want to support.
Btw, your bug has already been helpful as I've discovered another flaw around Department/Organization display which I will file separately for clarity.
Are you talking about migrating contacts from previous version of TB? I was told that no data will be lost even if the migrated fields may not yet show in the TB 102 UI - supporting more fields is still WIP.

Let's move this over to Bug 1777780 which is essentially the same issue.
This bug covers AB data migration:
Bug 1771576 - Ensure that all contact fields of TB 91 are migrated (somehow) into TB 102, to avoid (perceived?) dataloss
