Steps to reproduce:
Opened Thunderbird. There are unread e-mails in the folders. Folder three shows unread message count after folder name.
Actual results:
Unread number count shows up right against scrollbar, making it hard to read, especially, if the value is 1.
Expected results:
There should be some padding after value, so that the value would not be right against the scrollbar.
I added attachment, that shows issue. There is some whitespace after 1, but it is far too little.
Also, in case, that it affects it, my system default DPI is 240 (15" 2160p laptop screen). Thunderbird opens up on laptops screen, but moving it to attached 24" 1200p screen changes nothing. Even moving Thunderbird to secondary display and closing it there, so that it shows up by default there changes nothing.

STR
- Enable
View > Layout > Folder Pane columns
. - Reduce TB window height so that folder pane scrollbar occurs.
- Check last folder pane column.
Actual
- last folder pane column contents are partly covered by scrollbar, making them hard to read.
Expected
- last column to be fully visible even with scrollbar.
- probably column picker "column" needs same width as scrollbar to fix the problem (currently it's narrower).

Already seen on TB 91, but not seen on TB 78 (Win10). Symptoms can also be more emphasized for some users, see attachment 9284703 [details] where almost an entire digit gets covered by the scroll bar.
Given the popularity of folder pane columns, should probably fix this soonish.
Fix should be simple, see my expected result of comment 1.
Richard, if you want a regression window, pls ask Alice.

The regression comes from the De-XBL of the tree in toolkit and I see no solution to fix this. I think there exists already a bug for this in toolkit but can't find it.
A workaround could be to change the scrollbar style with the widget.non-native-theme.scrollbar.style
setting by trying the values 1, 2, 3 or 5.
The different values are described here: https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/source/modules/libpref/init/StaticPrefList.yaml#13572-13579.

Would it be possible to add additional empty column to create space between scrollbar and other columns?

(In reply to Alessandro Castellani [:aleca] from comment #9)
Yes, 100%.
We will forget about this XUL annoying issues.
I'll take that as a wontfix for the current version. To be fixed in 115's UI.
