:enndeakin, since you are the author of the regressor, bug 1746052, could you take a look?

A couple of questions:
Do we have any mitigations we can put in place for these bugs?
Is there anything we could at least do for fx103?
:enndeakin there was a comment on an issue https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1773907#c2 - if there was any further investigation on a fix for these?

Let's not use a meta bug for tracking. Neil is already looking at some of the dependencies. Some of these bugs might actually be unrelated. I think we had some issues even before bug 1746052 landed.

Bug 1773907 should have fixed most of these issues. It would probably be good to manually verify if all other bugs as well.

I believe bug 1773907 should also have fixed 1778572, 1778925, 1779135, 1778620, 1777893, 1778167 and 1777470.
Bugs 1772140, 1778160, 1772988, 1772989 and 1777207 cannot be reproduced and are likely oddities that are specific to the user's configuration.

when is this gonna get resolved for all cases?
ever since Firefox v102.0.0 this has been happening..
for me its CurseForge for the download of Java .jar files for Minecraft mods,
its turns it in to .jar.zip every time without fail...
Which I grab often whenever there is an update to one or more mods.
example: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/clumps/files/3950215
but the following personal website for a Minecraft mod maker does not have this issue..
https://chocolateminecraft.com/minimapdownload.php
https://chocolateminecraft.com/worldmapdownload.php
and I don't know why..

This seems to be fixed for CurseForge website now..
.jar are no longer being renamed to .jar.zip
not sure who fixed it though... Mozilla or CurseForge.

Will anyone be sad if I move this meta bug into the Web Compatibility : Knowledge Base
component? It seems to mostly be a collection of reports of broken sites, which is what the component is for. Alternatively we need to create a broadly similar bug in that component.
